October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, focuses on the theme “RISE: Rally In Supporting, Serving and Screening Everyone.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Guru Nanak College organized a Mammogram Screening Camp on 25.10.2021 for Women Faculty of the college to bring awareness on breast cancer.
Dr.M.G.Ragunathan, Principal, inaugurated the camp. The main objective of the camp was to get diagnosed and prevent breast cancer at the early stage. A medical team from Kauvery Hospital visited in Mammogram Screening Bus and did the Mammogram Screening for nearly 30 women Faculty who were above 40 years. Dr.Kirti Katherine Kabeer, the chief Doctor, spoke at an awareness session on “Breast Cancer” and stressed that it is completely curable with the help of proper medical treatment.
