The Guru Nanak Centre for Consultancy and Outreach Initiatives and Guru Nanak Centre for Skill Development jointly organised the “GNC's Skill Journey: An Orientation Programme for Freshers 2023-24” on 05th July 2023. Thiru. Md. Nasimuddin IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour Welfare and Skill Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, the Chief Guest, in his address, said, “Nothing teaches more than experience and students should acquire life skills as well as skills for employability”. He added that students need to understand that Youth is a crucial passing phase in one's life and one should focus on the long-term view of life”.He also interacted with the students and shared his experiences of using Time efficiently to enjoy life and to empower themselves. He highlighted that the ITI courses introduced by the Government of Tamil Nadu are increasing in demand and concluded by saying that the freshers should make use of the opportunity and facilities provided by the college and become able citizens of the country.
