This week Jeevan Radha Krishna received young Achiever award from our Express Velachery team.
Jeevan Radha Krishna, 9 years old, student of Marg Vidhyalaya, Madipakkam is an enthusiastic boy who is passionate about different activities from young age. He has been trying his interest in every possible field. His parents Radha Krishna and Meenakshi has always been supportive for his interest as they believe its the best age for a child to communicate and know the world through these steps. They have been making him believe that participation is most important, “Winning or loosing doesn´t matter. Each one is a lesson in it’s own”. The baby steps for Jeevan were the ways to communicate and know the English words which made him to enter through the International Spell Bee Competition conducted by Humming Bird and securing 2nd prize.
Being an active kid, he started his interest in drawing, craft, cooking, small science experiments etc… and not to forget mathematics which was his weakness. He took it as a game and started to learn in more fun way with his father and watching educational YouTube videos. That is when his parents encouraged him to enter SOF Mathematics Olympiad competition where he secured zonal rank 25 and medal of distinction. Also got a gold medal of excellence in SOF Science Olympiad.
He also started learning and doing different science experiments along with his father as base knowledge with different available household items and that’s where he got few prices as little scientist. Not only extra curricular activities but he is also managing to achieve excellent grades in school and won prizes in school activities also.
Though the pandemic hit everyone equally, it never stopped him learning new things. Trying different challenges, he nailed it and was encouraged to participate in the events by his family. His parents made him believe that competition is to improve and to compete, not to compare with others. His parents made sure that he is active and doesn´t become passive during home lock down. When the physical activities are at the minimum level, instead he went on his own to create a YouTube channel, started recording his updates and communicate with other on his own comfort and confidence.
During lock down he involved himself in learning Piano just by downloading mobile app and later learned playing different songs from YouTube on his own. He has entered “RAABA Media World Records” for solo talent in keyboard playing and got special title as Young Star by RAABA MEDIA. He also entered a Jackhi book of records and participated in their event conducted for Abdul Kalam. He participated in Salam to Kalam 2021 mass world record event by Jackhi creations.
He enrolled himself in many competitions conducted by outside organizations not only in Tamilnadu but from other states also like Monsoon Fest (Kidoos), Talent Kids (Flying Petals), Wonder Buddies, Shining Star, Born to Win, Success of Kids, Homey Land, Pink and Blue World etc… Winning in many competitions and putting number of medals, trophies and recognitions in his bucket for Fancy Dress, Clay Modeling, Poem recitation, Craft work, Readaloud, Fire-less cooking, Speeches, Instrumental Singing, Acting, Little scientist, Drawing, SOF Olympiad etc…
Last but not the least, apart from all these he loves to spend time with his little brother Nishanth who also enjoys playing Keyboard and loves to chat with his grand parents and “Chikki”. His favorite hobby is collecting hot wheels and other super car toys which he loves to play with.
He is looking forward for the school to reopen which he thinks will give students more confidence and better chance of communication with other friends. We also thank Marg Vidhyalaya which has encouraged students in each and every step to try their talents and something new every time.
