The Guru Nanak Centre for Innovation Incubation Entrepreneurship & Startups (GNCIIES) launched a new startup project producing “Herbal Bio-Degradable Sanitary Napkin”, using herbals such as Neem, Aloevera, Turmeric and Tulasi. The Sanitary napkin was given for testing (as per Indian Standards IS 5405/1980) to Technical & Innovative Textile Solution Center, an ISO 9001 certified Testing Lab. The report concluded that herbal sanitary napkin meets all requirements and passes the test. It is organic & Bio degradable. The faculty and Students have completed the Sanitary making Certificate course and are trained toproduce the above product. Dr. Marlene Morais (Advisor- GNES) started the Sanitary Napkin production in the presence of the General Secretary & Correspondent, Principal, Vice-Principal, Dean GNCIIES, Coordinators of the various cells of GNCIIES.
