Guru Nanak Education Society (GNES) has marked a remarkable achievement by signing an MOU with Maruti Suzuki India Limited for launching its BBA Retail Management Course on 7th June 2023.The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Sanjiv Sinha, Vice President of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., and Mr. Dibyendu B. Ranjit, Asst. Vice President of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Mr. Bharath Sampath, Regional manager, Tamil Nadu Arena, MSIL.Retail Management is dynamic in nature and is providing employability to the larger audience. Keeping it in mind Guru Nanak College has introduced the new course. All students enrolling in the course will not only have classroom training but also field training in Maruti dealerships, showrooms, service centres etc.
They will be trained in the wide spectra of retail management ie. Customer handling, CRM, Visual Merchandising, Buyer behaviours, warehouse management and salesmanship. At GNC, this model of Industry-Academia partnership has its genesis in the IT domain under MoU with NASSCOM, ICT Academy, Infosys, Springboard, and CISCO Foundation. Mr. Manjit Singh Nayar, General Secretary and Correspondent, GNES, Advisor Dr. Marlene Morais, Principal Dr. M.G.Ragunathan, Dr. Swati Paliwal, Head, GNCCOI, staff and students of the institution were present for the event.
