Anna university hosted the G20 University Connect Lecture Series on ‘Engaging Young Minds’ on 10th March 2023. B. Vishal Dev Studying in Biomedical engineering in Anna University residing in Ramaniyam marvel apartment, Velachery and his team have done a short film about the future and they have won 3rd place .. Students across various universities participated in this contest and close to 93 short films were shortlisted. Vishal dev and team was awarded with a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of ten thousand during the event held at Anna University.
SHORT FILM CONTEST – BATTLE OF CREATIVE MINDS 2023 is a special year for our Nation since India holds the G20 Presidency and the theme is “One Earth; One Family; One Future”. This contest was done among the young creative minds to bring revolution to our nation that was organised containing their thoughts regarding How India can lead the G20 countries on the following themes: Health, Education, Energy, Environment, Climate change, Women Empowerment, Anti-Corruption, Employment. Finance, Life (Lifestyle for Environment)Agriculture and Film should address only themes of G20 presidency of India.
The objective of this contest was to engage with students from 75 Universities around 56 locations across India.The government has initiated the G20 University Connect, which is being jointly organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS). When approached Vishal and his team they expressed their joy and thanked the G20 forum for this initiative which had triggered them to do a short film and also they appreciated all the students who participated in this event which had given a chance to showcase their creativity .
